Day 10 Monday

Prayer for Today

Pray that as we return, God would use our testimony and the ways he has changed us through this trip to impact our church.  Pray that the lessons we've learned will not be lost in the business of life once we return.

They made it to the Lima airport and was scheduled to leave at 9:10am.  Not much longer and we will be reunited with our loved ones!

Day 9 Sunday

Prayer for Today

Pray for safety while traveling.

Today they leave the village of Capirendita and travel to Santa Cruz where they will eat dinner. Perhaps they will do a little shopping and sightseeing.

Day 8 Saturday

Prayer for Today

Pray for safety while traveling to Capirendita.  Pray that the Holy Spirit will lead us in how we can encourage and bless the church in Capirendita.

Both teams are in Capirendita and will stay the night with Angela at her village.  I believe the travel from the mission to her village was long.  Hopefully, they were able to rest on the bus.

Day 7 Friday Afteroon

From Julia:

The mobile team arrived in Entre Rios around 2:30pm this afternoon. They are all very tired and dirty! The last five days have been so rewarding.  The gospel was preached to those who that never heard it before, churches in the country have been encouraged, children have been loved on, and prayers have been answered.  We ate goat soup in Las Abras! Some have been a little under the weather but everyone is fine today! They all leave tonight at 10:00pm to drive through the night to Capriendita (Angela's home).

Day 7 Friday

Prayer for Today

Pray that God would open our eyes to truths about Himself, ourselves, and the Body of Christ that we might not ever realize in the U.S. Pray that we would have a great appreciation for what God is doing in His Body around the world as we join with our Bolivian brothers and sisters for a dinner at the mission.

The mobile team arrives back today at the Mission house.  Both teams will finish any projects and prepare for a Community dinner.

Day 6 Thursday

Prayer for Today

Ask for the Lord's favor in allowing us to finish the construction project.  Pray for safety as we work - especially as we'll probably be growing weary physically.

The weather has been cold there and the base team is trying to finish the project by tomorrow.  Physically, they are feeling it.  Pray that they can endure and sickness is minimum.

The mobile team will be heading back to the mission tomorrow.  Pray for their safe return.

Day 6 Wednesday

Prayer for Today

Pray that the food we eat will be friendly to our digestive systems, especially the mobile team who will be traveling.  Pray for opportunities to minister to others - whether evangelistic opportunities or times to encourage believers.  Pray the film projection draws a crowd and that people are saved.

I heard from Tim last night and the base team are working very hard and the weather is real cool!  Praying for endurance for the team.

Day 5 Tuesday afternoon

I heard from Kayla. Today  the mobile team got up early and made pancakes for everyone. Everyone at the mission said they liked them. Or, they were just super polite!

Last night the truck came in with several hundred bricks and beams for the mission which ended up unloading at 10:00pm.

Today they put the beams up to start the roof along with some bricks.

Tonight Jorge wants the team to do the drama and share testimomies either in the plaza or square.

Continue to pray for both teams physically with the change in weather and food.

Day 5 Tuesday

Prayer for Today

Pray for flexibility and patience as our schedule and plans will likely change - perhaps even day to day.  Pray that we would be safe while we work - that there wouldn't be any serious accidents or injuries.

The base team will be working hard today to get the flooring prepared so they can pour concrete later in the week.  Hopefully they will have an opportunity to go into the plaza share the gospel, do the skits and interact with the youth.

The mobile team  will make house visits to share the gospel, VBS and church service at night.

 

Day 4 Monday Afternoon

Heard from Kayla at around 4:30pm.  The mobile team left around 8:00am and was heading out to catch a 4 hour bus ride to their destination.  The base team worked today at the mission outside clearing away debris and bushes.  They were awaiting a truck to deliver supplies for the cement floor.  They also practiced the drama they were going to perform some time this week.  Our conversation lasted about one minute and as we were speaking the truck arrived.

Day 4 Monday

Prayer for Today

Pray that we would all work effectively together - we will be working side by side with some Bolivian; pray for supernatural productivity in our work and serving.  Pray for the mobile team as they hold their first VBS meeting.  Pray the film projection draws a crowd and that people are saved.

Base team begins floor.  Will go into the plaza in the afternoon and show the Jesus Film.

Mobile team leaves at 8:00am for San Jocesito to hold their first VBS.

Day 3 Sunday Evening

Received a quick call from Tim about 7:00pm.  They were getting ready to eat something as they just finished with their church service.  He will brief the base team and prepare to get started tomorrow building a second floor for the mission house.  They are hoping to pour the concrete for the floor later this week.  In addition, they will be doing some general clean up around the mission with clearing debris and bushes.

I think everyone will go to bed early tonight!

Day 3 Sunday

They made it to Entre Rios via bus at 7am this morning after some delays with their visas.  They were  able to catch the bus just in time!  Thank you Lord!

They had breakfast today with Angela and a couple others from the mission.  The team will explore Entre Rios today! Lunch will be at 12:30pm and then church at 4:30pm.  Tim Klinect will lead worship, Aaron Campbell will preach and there will be testimonies shared.

After church they will meet with the youth and play soccer.

The mobile team will head out tomorrow and the base team will start construction project.

To be Bolivian official, Alex and Julia will have a wedding ceremony!!!  Can't wait to hear about that!

Pray that the team can get a full nights rest and be ready to go tomorrow.  

Day 3 Sunday

Last word is that the team was almost through customs and heading to their last leg (the 10 hour bus ride) to Entre Rios.

Prayer Request for today

Ask the Lord to protect our health.  Pray that we would be well rested and ready for the physical and spiritual labor ahead.  Pray for a growing unity on our team.  Pray that our teams are envisioned for the week ahead.

There will be a church service today at 4:00pm in Entre Rios.  I'm hoping to hear from someone today.  Comment if you have heard from anyone today.

Day 2 - Saturday

It looks like the team made it out of the Miami Airport and landed in Peru early this morning. They are about to get on their flight to LaPaz where they will stay on the plane.  Julia said the team is bonding very well and having a blast!

Prayer Request for Today

Pray that we would use our travel time to further prepare mentally and spiritually for the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.  Pray the we would arrive physically ready to go.  Pray for opportunities to share Christ with others as well travel - and boldness and faith to take those opportunities.  Pray that our flights leave and arrive on time without any over-booking or baggage complications.  Pray that our visas are processed without a problem.  Pray for a safe bus ride to Entre Rios.

*Please pray as they land in Santa Cruz today.  They have to go through customs, get their visas, and make contact with the lady who is going to the bus terminal to help them get their tickets.

*Plane was delayed in Lima. Praying there are no more delays and they can get through everything at Santa Cruz.

Prayer Request for Friday

Pray that our time together on the bus and at the airport would feed our enthusiasm and sense of expectancy of what God will do.  Pray for safety and rest - that we would actually get a decent night's rest on the plane.  Ask the Lord to guard our health during the trip.

Bus Leaves for Miami!

Most of team met at Metro and are now heading to Miami!

Pray everything goes smoothly at Miami and there are no delays!
